About the event
Gilbert Prousch and George Passmore are two men who together are one artist: Gilbert & George. These two local artists are known for their formal appearance and manner in performance art, and for their brightly coloured graphic-style photo-based artworks. The pair celebrated their 50th anniversary as collaborators in 2017 and their centre is located a short walk from the Bishopsgate Institute.
Join us for a short guided tour of their latest exhibition, ‘Our George Crompton, WORLDS and WINDOWS by Gilbert & George’ – a moving tribute to their friend, George Crompton, with works from ‘the new normal pictures’, exhibited alongside a selection of postcard art from ‘worlds and windows’, and ‘the urethra postcard art’.
