About the event
Have you ever heard that your legs start from the plexus and even higher ?
What is the anatomical explanation for that and how do we use that in order to produce a nice dissociation?
Why is propulsion anatomically more efficient with a stretched, engaged knee rather than a bent one?
What are the phases of the walking cycle and how do they influence your tango walk?
What can you do while dancing to protect your ankles, knees and hips ?
How can you create beautiful and effortless boleos?
In this class we dive in with a nice adorno as a leader and follower, to understand which muscles stabilize the pelvis, guide it, and allow it to express movement. We will also take a deeper look at the psoas, bringing awareness to this essential and often mysterious muscle, so that it can support more fluid and organic movement. Together we will study and physically experience all these different questions, learning how to dance in harmony with your own structure to enhance efficiency and help prevent injuries.
This class complements When Tango meets anatomy 2 - The spine, The ribcage and embrace. They combine practical exploration with clear anatomical insights, helping you understand your body so you can dance tango with greater comfort, elegance, awareness, and expressive freedom.
